Construction Planner

SUMMARY
We are recruiting Planners to develop and manage construction programmes for London projects. You will provide the programme intelligence that keeps teams aligned and projects on track, from tender through to completion.

TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop tender and construction programmes
• Update and maintain programmes with actual progress
• Carry out critical path and delay analysis
• Produce look-ahead programmes and progress reports
• Coordinate with site, commercial and design teams
• Assess the programme impact of variations and delays
• Prepare extension of time submissions
• Develop logistics and phasing plans

IDEAL CANDIDATE
• Proven planning experience on London construction projects
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing and methods
• Experience with critical path and delay analysis
• Strong analytical and numerical skills
• Communicates programme data clearly to non-planners
• Works well with site and commercial teams
• Comfortable presenting programme risks to senior staff
• Full right to work in the UK

QUALIFICATIONS & CERTIFICATIONS
• Degree in Construction, Engineering or similar
• APM or CIOB membership (desirable)
• Planning qualification such as PMI-SP or APM PMQ (desirable)
• Valid CSCS card
• SSSTS or SMSTS (desirable)
• Knowledge of Association for Project Management guidance
• Working knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015
• Full UK driving licence (desirable)

KEY SKILLS & TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE
• Asta Powerproject, Primavera P6 or MS Project
• Critical path and delay analysis
• Programme baselining and re-baselining
• 4D planning tools such as Synchro (desirable)
• Resource and cost-loaded planning
• Contract programme requirements
• Logistics and phasing plans
• Programme reporting and dashboards
