Construction Project Manager

SUMMARY
We are looking for Construction Project Managers to lead projects from inception to handover. You will take responsibility for scope, cost, programme and quality while managing client relationships and multidisciplinary teams.

TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead delivery of projects from pre-construction to completion
• Develop and manage programmes, budgets and resources
• Act as the main point of contact for clients and stakeholders
• Manage design teams, consultants and subcontractors
• Monitor progress, cost and quality and report regularly
• Manage project risks, issues and change control
• Ensure compliance with CDM, health and safety and planning conditions
• Oversee handover, close-out and defects resolution

IDEAL CANDIDATE
• Proven track record managing construction projects in London
• Experience delivering projects on time and on budget
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
• Understanding of procurement routes and contract types
• Confident chairing meetings and presenting to clients
• Decisive problem solver
• Experience across more than one build sector
• Full right to work in the UK

QUALIFICATIONS & CERTIFICATIONS
• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or similar
• APM, CIOB or RICS membership (desirable)
• SMSTS (essential)
• Valid CSCS card
• First Aid at Work (desirable)
• Working knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015
• Awareness of the Building Safety Act
• Full UK driving licence

KEY SKILLS & TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE
• End-to-end project delivery
• Programming tools such as Asta Powerproject or MS Project
• Cost control and budget management
• JCT and NEC contract administration
• Design team and consultant coordination
• Risk and issue management
• Client reporting
• Project collaboration platforms such as Procore
