MEP Site Manager

SUMMARY
MEP Site Managers lead the installation of mechanical, electrical and plumbing services on site. You will run subcontract teams, manage quality and safety, and keep installations aligned with programme and design through to commissioning.

TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage day-to-day MEP installation works on site
• Supervise engineers, supervisors and subcontract labour
• Coordinate with the main contractor and other trades
• Monitor progress against programme and report delays
• Ensure installations meet specification and quality standards
• Enforce health, safety and environmental compliance
• Manage materials, deliveries and site logistics
• Oversee inspection, testing and snagging

IDEAL CANDIDATE
• Proven MEP Site Manager or Senior Supervisor experience in London
• Background as an electrical or mechanical tradesperson or engineer
• Strong knowledge of building services installation
• Able to read and interpret MEP drawings
• Excellent coordination and leadership skills
• Strong problem-solving ability and attention to quality
• Good communication with clients and main contractors
• Full right to work in the UK

QUALIFICATIONS & CERTIFICATIONS
• SMSTS (essential)
• Valid CSCS card, ideally Gold or Black (essential)
• ECS or JIB card where relevant
• First Aid at Work (essential)
• 18th Edition BS 7671 (desirable)
• NVQ, HNC or degree in a relevant discipline (desirable)
• Awareness of the Building Safety Act
• Full UK driving licence (desirable)

KEY SKILLS & TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE
• MEP installation methods and sequencing
• BS 7671 and CIBSE standards
• RAMS and permit management
• Inspection and test plans (ITPs)
• Interface with commissioning teams
• NCR management
• Drawing and BIM model interpretation
• Digital tools such as Procore or Fieldwire
